Fishing on the St. Louis River has been red hot! Fish currently biting on crawler harnesses as well as crank baits. Best fishing is in 8 feet and shallower. If you can find pockets of weeds even better. The young of the year bait fish are really using these as refuge and the walleyes are right in there with them.
Lake Superior has been pumping out all species of fish right on the surface. No need for deep running baits yet this year. Bright colored stick baits 100 to 150 feet back trolling anywhere from 20 feet of water all the way out to 150 feet. They are literally everywhere!
Have fun out there!
